While I didn't have much positive to say about them last year, The Expendables (2.5/5) and R.E.D (3/5) performed brilliantly both in the US and UK box office, and as such the makers of both hits have confirmed sequels to enter production at the end of 2011 and as 2012 opens respectively. Neither successor has any shred of plot information, but since they've only just been revealed that's to be expected. If we're looking to outline some expectations, I'd like some more screen-time for Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren in their respective flicks as just as I said in the reviews of both flicks, the cameos- of sorts- just didn't do the acting legends enough justice, so if there's any chance of redeeming what have now become franchises then hopefully the producers will take heed...
