2011 Move Games To Watch #2: SOCOM 4

Kinect may have a lot up its sleeve for 2011, tons of releases still to be announced at E3 for big Winter releases, but it's unlikely that many of those are going to be shooters given the lack of a controller to aim a weapon. The PlayStation Move peripheral, however, is an ideal virtual weapon, as proven by great Wii shooters like Call of Duty: World At War and GoldenEye 007 that did wonders for Nintendo's console. SOCOM 4 is a fine example of where the Move could shine, providing team-based gameplay with or without Move, the former option seeming even more enticing provided the controller doesn't get too sensitive when you're trying to aim in a firefight. There'll even be some online multi-player with Sony's peripheral to let players test out their skills with others across the world! Not much is known about the plot of the new SOCOM other than that the setting is Asia. Despite the relative lack of foreknowledge about what to expect this April, we already know from this game's predecessors that we're in for a treat- and that's without the Move, who knows what Sony's motion controller can do for the series!
