Mass Effect 3 Demo Confirmed & More Games News

2012 role-play video game Mass Effect 3 will get a demo before release, it's been announced this week. BioWare's executive producer on the title Casey Hudson tweeted: "Stay tuned for news on demo plans in a few months." With the developer currently working on new DLC for Dragon Age II set for release later this month, it's possible we won't get an update on the demo until August or September, but it's at least refreshing news to know that a demo is coming. Other pieces of games news you might want to note this week:
  • Grand Theft Auto V may be set for a reveal announcement very soon, if reports are to be believed. Rockstar's new open-worlder is believed to be set in Los Angeles and incorporate new tech like social networks in its own satirical fashion.
  • As a tribute to Sonic's 20th Anniversary, a special edition Metal Sonic figurine will be released at a price of £150 this Autumn. I'm sure we'll all flock to stores to cash in on this bargain! Ahem.
  • Halo developer Bungie are moving on to new worlds, handing the franchise to Microsoft and 343 Industries officially on August 2nd. They said to fans: "We leave the franchise in the safest of hands- yours." That leaves us looking ahead to their next franchise and the Combat Evolved HD remake coming this November (oh, and of course Halo 4!)
