Nintendo Wii owners who were saddened to see no sign of the console on the release list for Activision's upcoming FPS Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 can now sleep safe in the knowledge that they too will get the anticipated sequel this year. The game, also out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, focuses on a fictional conflict raised in the previous Modern Warfare that now sparks global war, forcing governments to work together to avert nuclear armaggedon. Little is known about the campaign mode, but already fans are eagerly awaiting the new and improved online multiplayer segment, now boosted by a paid subscription service called Call of Duty: Elite, available to ensure early access of new maps and modes for this instalment and past titles such as World At War and Black Ops. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will release for 360, PS3 and PC on November 8th, and will be released on the Wii later this year.
