Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show last week, Adele sparked rumours that she may be the artist who produces the opening theme tune for the title sequence of 2012's Bond 23. Asked if she would return to record more singles in the studio this year, she replied: "I'm going back in the studio in November, fingers crossed. Well, this is actually a theme, what I've got to do." Jonathan then began to hum the iconic theme tune of the 007 films, but she said that "it's a concept, one song." This could still mean she will record the song that plays over the opening titles, or something else entirely, but the former seems a bit more likely. If she does choose to take on this project, then Adele will follow in the footsteps of Jack White and Alicia Keys, who gave us the excellent Another Way To Die in the dismal Quantum of Solace. Bond 23 hits cinemas on November 10th, 2012.
