Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Kinect Features Detailed

Those of us who went out and bought Microsoft's Kinect peripheral last year have been waiting for a good reason to get it out again for what seems like forever. Forza Motorsport 4 is one such reason (my review's coming very soon), but it appears Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary may get us using our body as the controller once more next month. At the New York Comic Con this weekend, developer 343 Industries revealed the features of Kinect integration in Anniversary, and they're pretty extensive. The first basic addition to gameplay is voice control: instead of reloading or throwing a grenade using specific buttons on a controller, you'll just be able to speak specific commands to do so, and this will apply to the 'Classic' original Xbox mode switch available at all times in the single-player campaign. The other main feature is 'The Library', a huge plethora of Halo information that can be navigated via motions, and whose database can be added to by pointing your gun at an object of interest and saying 'Scan'. These changes to the original won't hamper the classic gameplay, yet I look forward to seeing how well Kinect integration works in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary when it releases on November 15th.
