Sorry for the delay, but I've got some exciting news here to make the extra day worth the wait! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was announced yesterday as being in preperation to expand to Universal Studios Hollywood. The land, currently located in Universal Orlando, has been a huge success with fans and theme park goers alike, so it's no wonder the manages of the park chain in America want to replicate their success in Los Angeles. It's rumoured that instead of the Hogsmeade setting at the Orlando version, this new land in LA will be set in Diagon Alley, the wizarding street where Harry acquires his wand and pet owl Hedwig. Nevertheless, the fantastic Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride experience will be replicated along with the stunning Hogwarts model in Hollywood, and new rides will be added at the Hollywood version of the land to add extra value to it for fans who have already visited the Orlando attraction. There are going to be some expansions at the original land, too, though: it's speculated that a 'Hogwarts Express' will carry visitors between the Islands of Adventure and Studios theme parks, with a Wizarding World land in each helping to keep the Potter experience going throughout the day. The Hollywood edition of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in 2015; expansions to the Orlando branch will be announced in due course and commence next year.
