The Best Games Of 2011: #4

FORZA MOTORSPORT 4 (9.5/10)
Turn 10 have truly outdone themselves with Forza Motorsport 4, something very few of us expected of the developer given the sheer quality of their past 360 efforts. From the beautiful visuals to the seamless integration of the UK Top Gear show; from the improved gameplay mechanics to the hilarious uses of Kinect, FM4 really showcased everything the Xbox 360 console can offer in 2011. There wasn't much in the way of heart with the complete lack of any storyline component whatsoever, but the soul of racing was fully intact, expressed amazingly by the Autovista mode, a love letter to racing fans everywhere. Any developer would be proud to have finished their product on that fantastic note, yet I have a feeling that with the various upcoming DLC packages we're merely at the tip of the iceberg in terms of fulfilled potential for this insanely replayable title. Move over Gran Turismo- Forza Motorsport 4 is the best racing game available as of now, and Turn 10 managed to achieve that landmark in half the time Sony did too, which really is quite something!
