Coming Up This Week: December 12th-18th

This week's packing a couple of big releases before the Christmas blitz gets going from next Monday onwards...
NEW SHOWS- Jake finds Charlie's killer on vacation in Paris in Two & A Half Men: What A Lovely Landing Strip, Princeton Placebo gets a new patient in House: Better Half, Glee reaches its festive mid-season finale in Extraordinary Merry Christmas and Warwick meets Tess Daly at a party in Life's Too Short!
NEW MOVIES- Want to catch another Alvin And The Chipmunks film at the cinema? Good news: Chip-Wrecked is out this week, sure to be a box office wrecking ball (see what I did there?).
NEW GAMES- BioWare are hitting big with the final major video game release of 2011- oh yes, the epic MMORPG that is Star Wars: The Old Republic will finally hit PCs...next week. Just kidding, there's absolutely nothing on offer this week, so it's all about December 20th!
NEW DVDS- The Inbetweeners Movie; Rise of the Planet of the Apes; Super 8; Mr Popper's Penguins; Spy Kids: All The Time In The World and Safari 3D all hit stores tomorrow- it's a big day for owners of DVD and Blu-Ray players...
SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS- Yep, it's time for the epic sequel to 2009's best film to finally arrive at cinemas. Can Sherlock, Watson and Sim defeat Professor Moriarty, or will western civilisation collapse? Only one way you can find out!
MERLIN: THE SWORD IN THE STONE PART ONE- This is the moment we've all been waiting for. Agravaine betrays Arthur as the armies of Helios invade Camelot with Morgana leading their conquest. Is all lost? Can Merlin free the once and future king from his captors before it's too late, and what does the mythical sword in the title have to do with this conflict...?
ON THE BLOG- More Advent Calendar windows are going to be opened, as I reveal my Top 15 Games Of 2011 and ask for your votes for Game of the Year and Film of the Year. Plus, loads of big pieces of news about all our Christmas coverage!
