Prototype 2 Collector's Edition Announced

I wouldn't be completely surprised if you were to tell me that you had never heard of Prototype 2. Heck, I hadn't heard of it myself until recently when I tried out the promising 2009 original game. All the same, I'd wholeheartedly recommend that you start to place your radar on the sequel, an action-packed superhero free-roamer that packs a lot of potential and darkness within and may just turn out to be one of the surprise hits of the year. Developers Radical Entertainment have now announced the release of a collector's edition of the upcoming game on launch day. Dubbed the 'Blackwatch Collector's Edition', the set will retail for around £60 and include the following bonus items:

• A randomised piece of DLC that can range from avatar gear to a single-player challenge (and this can also be found on the cheaper Radnet Edition).
• The first full DLC pack for the game, Colossal Mayhem.
• The exclusive soundtrack to the game's campaign.
• A hardback Prototype 2 artbook.
• A Dark Horse digital comic called Prototype: The Labyrinth
• A 20%-off voucher for the online Prototype merchandise store.

Whether you'll want to pay an extra £20 for these new features is up to how strong your alliegance to this brief series so far is, but it may be worth giving a try for the new DLC you get to expand the experience slightly. Prototype 2 touches down at UK games retailers on April 27th.
