Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Kinect DLC Announced

Get more out of 2011's biggest and best RPG!
Even now just half a year on from its initial release, the profound impact The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has had on the role-playing genre cannot be understated: packing in a massive world and countless full campaigns to boot, it really gave the RPG legends a kick up the backside to show that their supposed best just wasn't good enough anymore. As such, any downloadable content announced for the game should come as nothing but a warm welcome for fans of the game, and Bethesda's first announced pack is certainly a great surprise. Skyrim will get an update exclusively for Xbox 360 which will introduce Kinect voice controls, whereby players can navigate menus and control dragon shouts (amongst dozens of other interfaces) to their heart's content using their voices rather than simple controller buttons. This will precede a full DLC expansion coming to 360 first that introduces new locations, missions and characters to the game's storyline, although that's likely to be priced where the Kinect stuff will be free. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Kinect update will be made available later this month, while DLC Expansion 1 will be here this Summer.
