Resident Evil 6 Release Brought Forward

Resident evil 6.jpgSurprise! No, really.
Well, here is something that you do not hear often in the video games industry. Capcom have confirmed that their new horror-shooter sequel Resident Evil 6 will release for consoles one whole month earlier than expected. The new game sees Chris Redfield thrown back into action as a secret agent when the White House comes under fire in the midst of the Operation Racoon City revelations, forcing a battle which will undoubtedly provide series fans with one of the most captivating narrative experiences of the year. The devs are saying that the project has run ahead of schedule, but I wouldn't buy too heavily into that- had they stayed within their early November original window, the team would be facing off against the behemoth that is Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2, as well as all of the biggest games coming out in late October too like Assassin's Creed III, BioShock: Infinite and Medal Of Honor: Warfighter, so by moving to where they have they're in a somewhat safer position for the Autumn of Gaming. Nevertheless, marketing ploy or not this should definitely be a game to keep your eye on in the lead-up to its debut at E3; Resident Evil 6 will now ship on October 2nd as opposed to November 16th.
