UK Film Charts: May 28th-June 3rd

Ridley Scott's Alien prequel sends its competitors into quick submission!
Despite the disappointment that it has turned out to have been, I always knew that Prometheus would perform well in its opening week at box office. Sure enough, it has topped the British charts, stopping the week's other big newcomer Snow White & The Huntsman from reaching first place and holding back some of the other big Summer blockbusters too. It's a great achievement for Scott, even if the movie itself doesn't quite live up to the hype. As always, if I haven't had chance to see a film by the time of release or didn't think it would be of much interest to you, then I've put a score for it from Total Film instead. In weeks to come, Rock Of Ages and The Amazing Spider-Man are on their way, so it should be interesting to see how these anticipated blockbusters fare in the heated competition. Here's the full list...
10. MOONRISE KINGDOM (TF: 4/5)
9. THE ANGELS' SHARE (NEW, TF: 4/5)
8. AMERICAN PIE: REUNION (TF: 3/5)
7. TOP CAT: THE MOVIE (NEW, TF: 1/5)
6. WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPECTING (TF: 2/5)
5. THE DICTATOR (TF: 3/5)
4. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE (5/5)
3. MEN IN BLACK III (4/5)
2. SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN (NEW, TF: 3/5)
1. PROMETHEUS (NEW, 3/5)
