Coming Up This Week: August 6th-19th

Jeremy Renner's Bourne Legacy headlines a busy two weeks of entertainment!
As we head towards September, things are going to get more and more intense with release after release thrown our way to keep our entertainment appetites more than sated. From Bourne to Brave, from Sleeping Dogs to Sinbad, there really is something for everyone in the next fortnight. You want proof? You need only look below to find out every big release you need to look for while the blog's on a mini-hiatus (more details on that below too). Here we go- without further ado...
OLYMPICS WEEK THREE- The world's greatest sporting competition reaches its crescendo in the coming seven days- could Great Britain stand a chance at gaining even more medals? It's going to be one heck of an exciting week finding out, and the music-filled Closing Ceremony should be fantastic too. Roll on the games...(Monday 6th-Sunday 12th)
THE BOURNE LEGACY- It's time for Jeremy Renner to take centre stage in the Bourne franchise as Matt Damon takes a back seat for the exciting spin-off Legacy. This isn't likely to be Film Of The Year, yet all the same there'll be some fantastic action setpieces and some thrilling developments for this long-running action series! (Monday 13th)
DOCTOR WHO: THE WHEEL OF ICE- Ahead of the return of everyone's favourite Time Lord to our screens the week after these two, we've got a new Classic Novel featuring Patrick Troughton's whimsical Second Doctor. The Wheel Of Ice is classic Who through and through, a glorious nostalgia fest for fans worldwide. (Thursday 16th)
BRAVE- Disney Pixar are bringing us a brand new animated adventure from the makers of Toy Story. Again, perhaps Brave won't be Film Of The Year, but for kids this is great fanfare stuff to keep them busy as we move into the final days of the Summer Of Film...sniff. (Friday 17th)
SLEEPING DOGS- Finally, United Front Games have a GTA-a-like open-world adventure video game for us to blitz through. Sleeping Dogs looks like violent, visceral fun all around, and will more than quench our thirst for the ever-shorter wait towards the Autumn Of Gaming...woop! (Friday 17th)
AND THERE'S MORE- You can catch the new Diary Of A Wimpy Kid and The Expendables 2 at cinemas as well and The Newsroom and Sinbad will be continuing to headline TV offerings post-Olympics.
ON THE BLOG- Things will be a little quieter here as the blog takes a mini-hiatus of sorts, but you can still expect new posts everyday, with reviews, features and EXCLUSIVES still to come in full force!
AND NEXT WEEK...Keith Lemon gets his own film, Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron lands on consoles, plus Doctor Who returns in Asylum Of The Daleks!!!
