The Doctor Returns In Asylum Of The Daleks This Month!Well, here it is- five hours ahead of the reveal of the first full trailer for Series Seven, the official Doctor Who website has premiered the first full promotional image for the new season. Promoting Episode One, Asylum Of The Daleks, the pic shows a battered and dark-faced Doctor carrying the seemingly unconscious body of Amy Pond through an intense battle between classic Daleks dating back from the 1960s original era ones forward to more metallic-looking versions of the 2010s Paradigm incarnations. It's very thrilling stuff to be sure, the fires throughout the promo surely hinting at the dark days that are to come as the Ponds meet their ends as Who companions, and it makes the wait to the new series feel longer than ever. Doctor Who returns on August 25th.
