First Dishonored Reviews Are In

Hear what the critics are saying on this Game Of The Year contender!
I'll be providing a full review of the much-anticipated new Bethesda RPG Dishonored in the next couple of weeks, but before that it's always great to see what critics are saying on the matter. Could this be the Game Of The Year? The jury's out until we reach the end of November really, but the signs are certainly promising based on the first verdicts. Here's your true guide to the most accurate scores and ratings for this steampunk fantasy adventure...

IGN (92%)- "It's one of the prettiest games of recent years- the art direction is nothing short of incredible, and it's matched with a visual aesthetic that makes the world look like an oil painting in motion."
CVG (95%)- "A world of unparalled potential, married to a page-turning Orwellian tale of deception and redemption. Adventures this epic come along only once in a generation."
OFFICIAL XBOX MAGAZINE (9/10)- "Dishonored is an evocative game- even without knowing the pedigree of its key developers, what the textures of its European twist on old London lack in up-close resulotion, the world makes up for in grand complexity and generous options."
THE GUARDIAN (10/10)- "This is a game without the bloat of the modern blockbuster; rather you're given a series of handcrafted missions, the plot written by a designer, the script by a scriptwriter and the narrative transcribed by you."
GAMESPOT (90%)- "The incredible variety of ways you can engage or evade your enemies makes Dishonored impressively flexible and utterly captivating."
OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE (9/10)- "The buzz Dishonored will give you is unrivalled, and the spontaneous moments of brilliance you'll experience will be unique. It's a wake-up call for first-person gaming, resurrecting long-lost values and casually plunging a knife into the neck of the generic sequel."

Dishonored hits stores on this Friday, October 12th.
