Discover when the reboot of this superhero film franchise will arrive!
Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox have this week
confirmed the release date for The Fantastic Four. A reboot of the
superhero film franchise, the new superhero flick follows the release of
Fantastic Four in 2005 and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer
in 2007, both of which were moderate financial successes yet fared
disappointingly with critics. Fox’s Mark Millar has confirmed that this reboot
will fit in with the new continuity of the studio’s take on the Marvel universe,
working in tandem with upcoming entries such as The Wolverine and
X-Men: Days Of Future Past, though this likely means that we’re not going
to see a crossover with The Avengers anytime soon.
The film’s release
window places it in the same year as The Avengers 2, Justice League, Ant-Man,
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2, Star Wars Episode VII and potentially
Avatar 2, so we really don’t envy the makers, but with any luck the early
release date may give the reboot something of a competitive edge. The
Fantastic Four flies into cinemas on March 6th,
2015.
