The On-Screen Advent Calendar 2012: Day Three

FIVE CHRISTMAS TV SHOWS YOU CAN'T MISS
As always, the festive season is packed with epic new television shows that will make short work of what has come before them in 2012. So, just what can we expect to highlight our small screen's showings in the next few weeks? Today, twenty-two days before Christmas Day, we're counting down our Top 5 Most Anticipated Christmas TV Episodes that you will not want to miss!...
5. MIRANDA CHRISTMAS DOUBLE BILL- For all its faults, at the very least Miranda is a watchable show led by a great main star. Hart makes for hilarious viewing at times, so even if you find it all a bit silly, this two-parter should certainly be well worth a watch over the festive season.
4. OUTNUMBERED 2012 CHRISTMAS SPECIAL- The family invite a bunch of their closest friends over for Christmas Day, and honestly, what could possibly go wrong? That's the simple yet effective premise for Outnumbered's second Winter romp, and there's likely plenty of mileage yet from what Ben, Jake and Karen get up to in their holidays and the havoc that's caused as a result.
3. TOP OF THE POPS 2012- You cannot go wrong with a Top Of The Pops double bill for Christmas. Reggie Yates and Fearne Cotton will once again be recapping the best moments of the pop music industry from 2012, with everything from Last Friday Night to Somebody That I Used To Know getting a mention and the fabled Christmas Number 1 revealed. Here's hoping The X Factor doesn't win that...
2. TROLLIED CHRISTMAS SPECIAL- Sky1's domestic comedy Trollied has proved to be a real bonafida digital hit these past few weeks, and thus it's great to see the show back for a Christmas Special. With love brewing at Valco, and tensions with the Christmas rush, there are sure to be great laughs aplenty when this transmits the weekend before Christmas Day.
1. DOCTOR WHO: THE SNOWMEN- At the top of the list of course, though, is the eighth consecutive Doctor Who Christmas Special in a row. This year, the Time Lord has become Scrooge, in mourning for the deaths of the Ponds and unwilling to save the universe again. There's only one woman who can redeem the Doctor's soul in time to stop an army of living snowmen: and one thing's for sure, Clara Oswin seems mighty familiar...
