New Pacific Rim Trailer Unveiled

Brand new footage for Guillermo Del Toro's new sci-fi flick lands!
Guillermo Del Toro has brought us some pretty wacky fantasy and science-fiction films in the past few years, from the mysterious Pan's Labyrinth to the visionary graphic novel adaptations of Dark Horse's Hellboy comics. With his new movie Pacific Rim, he's venturing further into the latter genre than ever before, providing a visionary take on futuristic robot warriors and fantastical monsters of lore for them to face off against on the streets of New York. This sort of thing is hardly the most innovative premise, yet there's still tonnes of potential for beautiful CGI action courtersy of Del Toro judging by the exciting new trailer you can see below. The trailer was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show, currently taking place over in the States. Perhaps it won't scrape the Film Of The Year contenders we'll see emerge this year, but with the best marketing campaign possible, this could still be a big Summer Of Film hit! Pacific Rim activates in cinemas everywhere on July 12th.
