We'll see the epic sci-fi shooter land this June...Capcom Studios have today confirmed the official release date and box art for their latest science-fiction video game shooter, Lost Planet 3. An epic climax to the hit trilogy, this exciting finale will feature protagonist Jim Penton encountering a strange new race of alien and robot hybrids on an icy planet where there's only one rule- there are no rules. In all honesty, this doesn't sound like an extremely inventive premise for a series that's regularly focused on icy science-fiction action, which may be why Capcom chose to release the game in the Summer before their inevitable next-generation line-up coming in the Autumn and Winter of 2013. So when exactly can fans of the saga play this blockbuster conclusion to one of the most loved cult franchises that the developers have ever produced? Lost Planet 3 will ship on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 28th.
