Jeff Daniels returns for another run of the hit HBO drama- find out when The Newsroom returns to Sky Atlantic now...Sky Atlantic have today announced the date on which the channel will broadcast the first episode of The Newsroom Season Two. Set months after the events of the 2012 run, this new nine-episode series takes the News Night into a perilous situation, as a leaked story of groundbreaking proportions could very well spell out the end of their show and indeed potentially their entire network.
Over in the States, The Newsroom's latest season has been transmitting for a few weeks now, but once again here in the UK fans have been forced to wait for a delayed broadcast of the season premiere. It's an irksome scenario, sure, yet it's inevitably one that most of us have become accustomed to, and is at least better than the alternative option of simply missing out on the show (legally) altogether. Sky are rumoured to be placing a greater focus on UK shows in the future, so it should be reassuring that Newsroom remains a constant mainstay over on their Atlantic channel.
The Newsroom returns with First Thing We Do, Let's Kill All The Lawyers on Sky Atlantic this September 2nd. A preview showing of the premiere episode will be available via Sky On Demand from Tuesday August 20th.
