Injustice: Gods Among Us- Ultimate Edition Announced

NeatherRealm can't manage a Game of the Year edition, so this 'Ultimate' version of Injustice will have to do.
NeatherRealm Studios have today announced the development of Injustice: Gods Among Us- Ultimate Edition for release on consoles later this year. An upgraded version of the development team's superhero brawler released in April 2013, the Ultimate Edition will feature all of the downloadable content released previously for the video game on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

In general, these versions of video game titles tend to be released as Game of the Year Edition packages, yet with a Metacritic average critical score of 81% (respectable, to be fair), the product in question is unlikely to scoop up many of those accolades come year's end. As such, this is a feasible (if blatantly commercially-orientated) marketing decision from Warner Brothers Games and NeatherRealm. Quite why the Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU and Nintendo 3DS have been omitted from the launch line-up of platforms is beyond us, though- perhaps the 360, WiiU and 3DS original editions didn't sell as impressively?

Here's the full list of new content packaged in the Ultimate Edition of Gods Among Us alongside the original game:

  • 6 NEW CHARACTERS (Lobo; Batgirl; General Zod; Martian Manhunter; Zatanna; Scorpion)
  • 40 NEW BONUS CHARACTER SKINS
  • 60 NEW S.T.A.R. LABS MISSIONS
  • GAME SOUNDTRACK (U.S.A. EXCLUSIVE)
Injustice: Gods Among Us- Ultimate Edition explodes onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and PC on November 29th.
