Walt Disney Pictures have today released the first promotional poster for their upcoming comedy film Muppets Most Wanted. A spiritual sequel to 2012's hit revival piece The Muppets, this second instalment takes Walter, Kermit and the rest of the Muppet crew abroad on an international quest to clear Kermit's name after he is framed for a dastardly heist.
As is generally the case with teaser images, the first full poster (below, released by and property of Entertainment Weekly) doesn't reveal much beyond the main cast ensemble. Among them are Ricky Gervais, The Office's Tina Fey and Modern Family's Ty Burrell as the lead human stars, with Kermit, his identical twin Constantine, Miss Piggy, Beaker, Sam the Eagle, Walter, Gonzo and Animal. Suffice to say that seeing as The Muppets was one of the most accomplished films of 2012 in this writer's humble opinion, Muppets Most Wanted is a hugely exciting prospect here, and with any luck should end up as one of the more successful motion pictures of 2014's first half.
