Ricky Gervais reprises his role as Derek Noakes for a new run of episodes next month.Channel 4 have today announced the première date for the second season of their comedy-drama Derek. Written and directed by Ricky Gervais, the show focuses on a local care home manned by Gervais' titular protagonist and a team of dedicated, oft-eccentric staff.
Seasoned followers of On-Screen will no doubt recall that we're big fans of Derek, thanks in no small part to the stellar first season (which aired last Spring). Any chance to spend more time in the company of Noakes and the gang is more than welcome for us, then, and if you missed out on the opportunity to catch Season One the first time round, it's available for free on both 4oD and Netflix right now- in other words, what are you waiting for?
