The Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the galaxy's Guardians and more come to IMAX cinemas.Walt Disney Pictures and IMAX Corporation have today announced the latest of the former studio's upcoming blockbuster films which are set to receive a release in IMAX cinemas in the coming months. Ever since 2000, the two companies have had a fruitful history together, bringing hit productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Treasure Planet and A Christmas Carol to millions of new viewers worldwide.
Suffice to say that if you can name a major big-screen effort coming to our screens courtesy of Disney in the next two years (bar Ant-Man, for some unknown reason), it's probably present on the studio's updated list of IMAX releases, which reads as follows:
- Maleficent (May 30th)
- Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1st)
- Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1st, 2015)
- Tomorrowland (May 22nd, 2015)
- Star Wars Episode VII (December 18th, 2015)
