Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Production Details Revealed

Source: Fanpop
Disney refuses to send their most commercially lucrative pirate series to Davy Jones' Locker.
Director Jerry Bruckheimer has this week announced the first revised details regarding the delayed production of Walt Disney Pictures' upcoming fantasy movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Starring (you guessed it) Johnny "Can't Find Another Regular Role" Depp as the infamous buccaneering protagonist Captain Jack Sparrow, the fifth instalment in the best-selling franchise of globe-trotting films will likely see the character commence a high-octane quest to free the crew of the Black Pearl from bottle-based imprisonment after the events of 2011's mediocre fourth entry On Stranger Tides.

Whilst he wasn't particularly forthcoming in the realms of plot details, Bruckheimer did at least confirm that Depp and the series' refreshed ensemble will begin filming "after the first of next year", i.e. soon after January 2015. Earlier reports had suggested that Disney were uneager to even give the initial screenplay for the film the green light, but unless the helmer was simply offering up an optimistic prediction for the project's future, it appears that Dead Men Tell No Tales is going ahead...for better or for worse. Stay tuned to On-Screen over the next few weeks as more details on its narrative and its (still TBC) release schedule arrive at Comic-Con.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales sails into cinemas worldwide in 2016.
