BBC & Paramount Theme Park Attraction Announced

Source: TARDIS Data Core
Let's just hope that it fares a little better than Hedgewick's World of Wonders!
London Resort Company Holdings and BBC Worldwide have today announced the development of a theme park based on several of the franchises conceived by the latter corporation. Presently dubbed the London Paramount Entertainment Resort, the new attraction will be situated in Kent and comprise of both the park itself - which, if all goes according to plan, will play host to a diverse array of rides and other amusements - and a holiday resort aimed at enticing tourists to stick around after their initial foray into the fictitious realms of the Beeb's most beloved TV series.

But just which franchises are to be integrated into the Entertainment Resort experience? Details are sketchy at best on this front at the moment (and in all honesty, more aren't likely to be forthcoming until far nearer the time of the park's opening), although it's a safe bet to assume that long-running brands such as Doctor Who, Atlantis, Gavin and Stacey and Sherlock (amongst others, of course, so long as they're easily marketable to a younger demographic in this case) will have a part to play somewhere down the line. As if it wasn't enough to see these brands come to life beyond our screens, though, that the attraction will be developed in collaboration with Paramount Pictures indicates heavily that esteemed big-screen sagas such as Transformers, Mission: Impossible and Terminator could quite easily factor in as well.

Stay tuned to On-Screen in the months ahead for more teasers regarding exactly what'll be in store for visitors at the London Paramount Entertainment Resort when the attraction opens its doors in Spring 2020.
